Winter Cocktails for your Frozen Bones

Winter Cocktails for your Frozen Bones

After a few weeks of uncharacteristically warm temperatures, the degrees have dropped and winter is once again in full swing here in Queenstown! The Remarkables have a fresh snow fall covering their striking peaks and we couldn’t be happier about it. We’ve resisted the urge to call in sick and ski or board the whole week so that we can bring some brand new items to the cocktail list.

Here at No5 Church Lane, we are embodying the spirit of the season with our new winter cocktail menu, with libations such as the “French Revolution” a warming mix of Hennessey VS Cognac, PX sherry, lemon juice, house-made clove syrup and orange. This one is the perfect apres-ski beverage after an epic day on the slopes and has already been featured in The Source, as well as some of our favourite cocktail Instagram accounts. #CocktailLife

If you haven’t quite acclimated to the colder temps yet, here to warm your bones is “Whiskey Business”. A combination of house-smoked walnut infused Jim Beam Rye, Amaro Montenegro, Peychauds bitters, sugar served in an absinthe rinsed glass. A lot of time and bar tender love goes into each one of these beauties and we hope you can tell!

New Assistant Bar Manager Matt Spice and his team have assembled a menu of interesting and creative cocktails using house-made ingredients locally sourced and foraged from the Central Otago region, along with a selection of classics made with a No5 twist. These drinks fully embody our mission to offer something different and unique in Queenstown and we can’t wait to share them with you, along with our signature wit and charm. Come by and try our new creations perfectly paired with our new seasonal food menu at No5 Church Lane. You can find the full winter cocktail menu here.
