We’re getting prepped for Christmas – yes we know its only August – but the emails are running hot with inquiries!
Christmas at No5 this year is a stylish take on the classic Kiwi Christmas barbeque.
We’re keeping it fresh and light to suit the Summer weather. Trent is serving up family favourites with a contemporary twist such as mussel fritters elevated with a NZ karengo seaweed aioli and a seawater gel.
We’re keeping it festive; with Yule logs, Otago stonefruit mince pies, and a Scotch-whisky-and-fig puree as desserts are always the highlight!
We’re keeping it authentically Kiwi with BBQ Lamb and Hangi-style Spring veg (cooked wrapped in flax and smoked hessian). Trent is serving this with Horopito (a native bush spice) arancini because while the old world classics are great a dash of Kiwi will always improve a dish!
Avoid the stress of cooking, or even having to pick a main course! You can relax with our four-course sharing menu – we’ll bring everything for the table to share. Sticking with our theme of plant based menus there’ll plenty of options for vegetarians, vegans or other dietary requirements.
